Terms of Service for Convoys

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Convoys (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and Safety

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
Do not use Convoys in a way that distracts you while driving or riding. You are responsible for complying with traffic laws and using your device safely.
Convoys is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it for emergency communications.

3. Accounts and Profiles

Convoys uses an anonymous profile model (nickname and optional avatar). You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for activity performed under your profile.

4. Rooms, Passwords, and Sharing

You may join or create rooms. Some rooms may be protected by a password.
Anyone you share a room name with may attempt to join that room. Use room passwords where appropriate.
Location and profile information may be visible to other room participants while you are in an active room.
For continuity/convenience, your device may locally store recent room history and room rejoin credentials (for example room password/rejoin token) using app/local secure storage mechanisms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, or fraudulent purposes.
Use the Service to plan, facilitate, promote, or commit criminal activity.
Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or rate limits.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party providers (for example, real-time communications, storage, crash reporting, or maps). Your use of those features may be subject to third-party terms and policies.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (including banning users from rooms) if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, harmed other users, or abused the Service.

8. Safety, Abuse Prevention, and Legal Compliance

To operate and protect the Service, we may process operational metadata and logs (including room/session and participant event metadata) and may investigate suspicious or abusive activity. This may include moderation/audit logs, device identifiers used for security/rejoin/ban enforcement, request correlation identifiers, network/request diagnostics, and payment/webhook/idempotency records needed for fraud prevention and service integrity. Convoys does not record voice content. We may preserve and disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Convoys, or the public.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Convoys account and associated data in-app via Settings -> Delete Account, or through our web request page at https://convoys.app/account-deletion.
