Convoys Account Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your Convoys account and associated data.

Delete Directly in the App (Fastest)

Open Convoys on your device.
Go to Settings.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Delete Without Opening the App

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@convoys.app with:

Subject: Account Deletion Request
Your Convoys display name (if known)
Any details that help us find your account (for example device/platform and approximate last use date)

Display names are not unique. We may ask for proportionate additional information to verify that the account is yours before deleting it. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, authentication codes or room access tokens.

What Is Deleted

Your authentication account, associated profile and uploaded avatar files
Account-linked daily usage counters and access records removed by the database’s account-deletion rules
Associated room participation/profile records we can remove from active systems

What May Be Retained

Records we must keep for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and compliance obligations
Limited billing/reconciliation records related to in-app purchases where required
Security/abuse logs retained only as long as reasonably necessary for protection and compliance

Shared rooms may remain for other participants. Account deletion is not a refund request and does not cancel a store-managed subscription. See purchases and refunds.

Operational LiveKit event logs are normally retained for approximately 30 days. Deleting the app account does not automatically erase every historical security or provider log. We assess additional erasure requests and any legally justified retention separately.

Processing Time

We process verified requests promptly and respond within the applicable legal deadline (normally one month for GDPR requests). If a lawful extension or retention exception applies, we explain it. In-app deletion is normally processed when the request succeeds.
